The Osi Asoju Oba of Egbaland, Chief Bukola Olopade, has said that Egbaland, Ogun State, Nigeria and the global community would not forget in a hurry the tireless commitment of the late Iyalode of Yorubaland and Egbaland, Alaba Oluwaseun Lawson.

Olopade, a former Commissioner for Youths and Sports in the State, in a tribute to mourn the departure of Lawson, noted that the deceased was a true symbol of grace and strength.

He said, "It is with heavy hearts and deep sorrow that we bid farewell to a remarkable woman who embodied the essence of leadership, Chief Mrs. Alaba Lawson, the Iyalode of Yorubaland. "Chief Mrs. Alaba Lawson's journey began as an Egba chief, where she assumed the prestigious role of the Iyalode of Egbaland.
